Re: Downtown?

Ooh, and I heard that chef Bob Tam's Dragon Dumpling Burger is back on the menu at Bitter and Twisted . I haven't had it in years, but it used to be top of mind when discussing favorite burgers in town.

OK so what's going on with B+T? We went a few months ago and the menu was all Jamaican ...

Re: Rough Rider - Saucy American in DTPHX

I love this place! They have a few new menu items as of a few weeks ago. I am not a big fan of the raw garlic in the crudo set, but the duck breast kills with mustard greens, grits, and a sweet marmalade. I also adore the chicken dish, which is boned and carries a remakably crispy skin. The ...

Re: In search for the best soft serve in Phoenix

Not Phoenix but Shakes and Cones in Old Town Scottsdale is great and they are on Door Dash.

I so want to love this place. I live around the corner and have gone at least a few times a year since they opened. It's fine. Just, fine :(. I like supporting local. I like their seasonal flavors. I ...

Re: Central Phoenix Chinese

The abundance of outstanding Chinese in the East valley has made it tough when I’m just trying to stay close to home...I would love a good Szechuan place but would take a solid Canto-American restaurant as well.

Well, there is a new spot on 7th Ave & ~Indian School, Szechwan Kitchen. @chowhokam ...

Re: Downtown?

I agree with Bill, make a rez and go to Little Rituals . Their food menu recently changed, again, and I can't speak to it today, but OMFG they have the best drinks. I'm a martini fan and theirs, "The Crisp Martini" is my favorite martini in town! [ note to self: start a thread of my favorite ...

Re: Recommendations for good duck in the east valley?

I can echo the sentiment about the duck confit on the menu at Bar Cena and it's certainly closer than my next recommendation... the Duck Breast on the menu at Rough Rider downtown. I couldn't find a pic on my phone or online, so I'll snag one next time, but it's fantastic. I actually need to start a ...

Re: Pizzeria Virtu - Old town Scottsdale VPN pizza

I haven't been since they first opened and they're less than a mile away, so shame on me. But, they just started lunch service a few weeks ago and now it's back on my radar. Good indie lunch spots versitile [ read: safe ] enough for work meetings are hard to come by and this one just jumped to the ...

Re: Hapa Food Co.- Best Kalbi in Phx

Jumping in to agree about the Kalbi--the best! And, as a Sizzle regular for many years, I'll even say I prefer Hapa's Kalbi to Sizzle's Galbi. [ I said what I said, @skilletdoux! Both are sweet and tender. Both get a good char from a flame grill. But, Sizzle's Galbi has a grill fuel flavor that once ...
